It seems to be ok now. But that 90 seconds or so was a big worry. Er... ok, it wasn't really, but I hadn't seen a Google outage before. Ebay and Hotmail, but not Google. Spooky.
That is really frightening, it's like the bbc going down - just can't happen

You're not wrong - at 9.00 this morning, the pips then . . . nothing. 10 very long seconds later the link announcer reads the news, with an apology for the lost connection to the newsroom. Aaarrgh. The world is crumbling around our ears...
